Our goal is simple: help pool owners pick equipment that fits their pool without wading through spec sheets and inflated review scores. This page explains how we decide what to recommend.
What our picks are based on
We start from published manufacturer specifications, compatibility and sizing requirements, parts availability, and the patterns in owner-reported feedback. When a category has a clear best fit for a given pool size or type, we say so and explain why.
What we do not do
We do not run destructive lab testing, so we never claim to have bench-tested a product unless we actually have. We do not publish fabricated ratings, review counts, or prices. We do not accept payment to place or rank a product. Affiliate links never change the order of a list.
How affiliate links work here
When you buy through a link on this site we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That funds the work, and it does not influence which products we recommend. Prices and availability live on the retailer, so we point to them rather than repeating numbers that go stale.
How pages stay current
Equipment changes. We revisit roundups as models are discontinued, replaced, or clearly outperformed, and we date each update so you know how fresh a recommendation is.
