Pool Pump Impellers

The impeller is what actually moves water through your pump. When it clogs with debris or wears out, flow drops even though the motor still runs.

Fine debris and hair can pack the impeller vanes, choking flow. Clearing it often restores circulation without any new parts.

A worn impeller reduces flow permanently and is matched to the specific pump model when replaced.

This page is a short orientation. A fuller write-up is on the way. In the meantime, see Pool Parts.
